SVNBreeze Help - Check-in Changes

Check-in Changes

To check-in changes you can select 'Commit' from most context menus. Note: 'Commit' may appear differently depending which "phrase set" you have selected.

In the commit dialog you will be presented with all files that have been modified or require committing. However, the only files and folders checked will be the children of what you selected in the main window. For example, if you right-clicked a folder a few levels down from the root then only those files contained with in this folder will be checked. If you highlighted a few files in the file list in the main window then only these files will be checked.

Now, review which files you would like to check-in and tick them. You can also highlight a file and clock 'Compare' to review the changes of that file since the last committed version.

Recursive

When checking-in new folders with files you may need to check the 'Recursive' option too. If you need to check a high level folder in which contains files as well and you check this option but intentionally untick some files below this folder then SVN will automatically check all changes in below this high level folder. To get around this simply check the high level folder in on its own first.

Keep Locks

If any of your modified files have any locks then you can choose to retain them after the check-in. Check this option if you do.

Select All

Clicking this option will toggle checking and unchecking all of the files in the list.

Show Unversioned

Checking this option will reload the list but this time include all files that are not currently under version control. This enables you to select unversioned files which will be added prior to performing the commit.
NOTE: If any files match any ignore file extension, file name, or folder name then these will not be added.

Compare

With a file highlighted, when clicking this button you will be shown the differences contained in this file. This enables you to review all changes prior to committing them.
